ABOUT ME
I grew up in Northeast Massachusetts, primarily in Andover, and am a proud product of the Andover Public School system. I earned my Associate of Science degree with a concentration in Commercial Art from Endicott College and my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from University of Massachusetts Lowell. With over 25 years of professional experience in graphic design and marketing, I have worked across both Mac and PC operating systems, with a personal preference for Macs. My background includes experience in both traditional office settings and remote work-from-home environments, allowing me to adapt easily to different workflows while maintaining strong creativity, organization, and project management.
I enjoy creating things and solving problems, whether it’s laying out a complex print piece, finding the bug while coding a website, building Lego projects with my nieces and nephews—or let’s be honest, sometimes without them—fixing broken things, or working on woodworking projects. I’ve always been drawn to hands-on creativity and troubleshooting, and that same mindset carries through both my professional work and personal projects.
Thank you for reviewing my portfolio. I’m passionate about creating thoughtful, effective design solutions that help brands grow and connect with their audiences, and I look forward to bringing that same creativity, strategy, and problem-solving mindset to my next opportunity.
WORK HISTORY
My career in graphic design and marketing spans more than 25 years across publishing, recruitment marketing, apparel design, retail packaging, and freelance creative work. I began creating retail ads for The TAB local newspapers, later managing the Real Estate section before the department relocated.
I then became an Art Director at Next Generation/Resource Communications, Inc. (RCI), designing recruitment campaigns for clients including Sprint, IBM, The Fresh Market, and TJX Canada. Promoted to Senior Art Director I spent 19 years at RCI, leaving following major layoffs as the company’s shift away from agency services.
From there, I moved into sports apparel design with 3Step Sports, then to MNC Screenprinting handling apparel design and company branding. Both roles ended due to company restructuring and business transition.
Most recently, I joined Packaging Specialties, where I advanced from packaging design to Marketing Manager, leading the company’s full rebrand, catalogs, website updates, trade show materials, and digital marketing strategy. My current role has been affected by cost-saving furloughs.
Throughout my career, I have also maintained freelance design work for local clients including Belmont Youth Hockey, Evergreen Day School, and the Custom House Maritime Museum, creating print materials, branding, and websites.
